The Boundary St site suffers from the ubiquitous evils of historic disturbance and nutrification from stormwater run-off, both of which are responsible for much of the weed invasion issues on Sydney sandstone. It is a small site surrounded by suburbia and when the Bushcare group started the site was a wall of weeds. After five years of primary weed removal and plantings the weed has been replaced with native plants along the largest of the informal drain lines and the main stormwater drain itself, now bordered by attractive sandstone rocks (thanks to a grant from Ku-ring-gai Council who also support the group).
