On 18 August,Tim Wong gave a presentation on “Draft ACT NRM Investment Plan” to the K2C August mini-forum. K2C mini-forums are held every two months to inform K2C partners, their staff and volunteers, and K2C associates members on a topic that will inform their collective thinking and assist in the development of policy and delivery of services.

Tim provided a presentation on a very complex subject and described the many twists and turns that have taken place in Commonwealth NRM funding over recent years. He then outlined the approach being adopted in the development of the next ACT NRM Investment Plan which will be used to seek funds under the Commonwealth National Landcare Program Stage 2. He drilled down into the detail of most interest to K2C and partners - inviting their participation and contribution to the plan’s development. Geoff Robertson has prepared a report on his presentation largely quoted from his slides. Anyone who would like the report should contact K2C inquiry.

K2C is considering how it might best participate to Tim's invitation to participate in the ACT NRM planning process and urges anyone interested to check out the ACT NRM website (http://www.environment.act.gov.au/act-nrm/investment-plan).

Thanks Tim for an excellent and most helpful presentation. Tim is the Executive Officer of the Australian Capital Territory’s Natural Resource Management Body (ACT NRM), within Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate (EPSDD), within the ACT Government.
