Snowy Mountain Scheme may be left high and dry...

This beautiful photo with the caption, "Snowy hydro scheme will be left high and dry unless we look after the mountains", focuses our attention on the dependence of hydro power on the need for well managed wetlands in Kosciuszko National Park. The photo and story were published in the Conversation, well worth a read. The Conversation claims academic rigour and academic flair. Its authors include many well known ANU academics including Graeme Worboys a driving force behind the Great Eastern Ranges initiative, David Freudenberger and Geoffrey Hope. Read the full story
