Local Landcare Coordinator Initiative - The Murray Region Approach

Murray Local Landcare Coordinator Initiative Joint Working Group

In September 2015, NSW Minister for Primary Industries, Niall Blair announced a $15 million, four-year Landcare Support Program that proposed a network of locally-based coordinators and a centralised support team to increase the effectiveness of the Landcare network.

Then in 2019 the NSW Landcare Program continued the funding to support state, regional and local investment empowering people to take action on local problems and deliver outcomes across local and regional issues.

A partnership between Landcare NSW (LNSW) and Local Land Services delivered the original initiative and the current programs.
