Native Wildlife & Native Flora Photo Competition 2015 - Winning Entries
Landcare UpHunter and Scone Landcare thank everyone who entered and supported our inaugural Native Wildlife & Native Flora Photo Competition. Children, youth and adults across the Upper Hunter Shire entered the competition, from Merriwa to Moonan Flat, Murrurundi to Scone.
Mr Brad Franks, Arts Centre Manager at Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre judged all entries. Having judged art and photographic awards across NSW and exhibited his own works in a range of mediums - painting, drawing, photography, video and sculpture, we were delighted he was able to accept this role for our inaugural Awards.
Mr Franks sends this message to all entrants: "The judging was very hard as the standard of the work was very high right across the board. Some very beautiful photographs and lovely to see such variety of approaches to the themes".
The Awards Presentation and exhibition of winning entries was held at the Scone Arts & Crafts Centre on Sunday May 31. Representatives from our sponsors and family and friends of the winners attended.
The winning entries will be displayed at locations across the Upper Hunter Shire over coming months, with first prize winner photos also displayed at the Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre.
